The mission of the Interfaith Council is:
to educate the public on social and community issues
to enhance the life of the community
to recognize deserving individuals through the award of an annual “Citation of Distinction.”
The Interfaith Council of Wyoming Valley was established in 1977 by leaders of the Protestant, Catholic and Jewish faiths; to provide a structure that enhances and strengthens interfaith relations in the Wyoming Valley, by exploring and addressing the social structure of the civic community and the social problems within the region.
